The Barn has simply been one of the best properties, the most wonderfully friendly hosts in the most beautiful locations. The Barn was spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped with everything you could need for your home from home break. The owner's thought of everything to make your stay special including a very generous welcome pack with lovely goodies. With wildlife right outside the window, bird's on the bird feeders and flying from tree to tree, neighbouring highland cows at the end of the garden, deer who came to the gable window to say hello and rabbits hopping around. The views over the countryside added to the total feeling of relaxation. The location was really central with Dornoch, Tain, Alness, Beauly, Inverness to mention a few within a 10 minute to 1/2 hour drive. The owner's are delighted to share any information including places to eat including a local Inn 2 minutes away and many cafes and restaurants in the area, which are also in the comprehensive folder in the property. Nature is on the doorstep with RSPB reserves and we would say not to miss Loch Fleet nature reserve, stunning. We were looking for a relaxing break with plenty to do and we were not disappointed including castles, distilleries (don't miss Glenmorangie Distillery tour), lighthouses, cathedral, independent shopping and stunning views and nature. Don't hesitate to pick The Barn for a get away, simply wonderful.

The Barn was one of the best self catering premises that we’ve stayed in. Extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean, beautiful accommodation and lovely relaxing grounds round about. The welcome pack was amazing and the proprietors, Linda & Neale, we’re lovely and very helpful with any queries we had. There are also lots of lovely forest and beach walks nearby - perfect for our Jack Russell, Rosco. Would certainly recommend The Barn and hopefully will go back.
