Guests found the cottage cosy, but several reviews mention uncomfortable mattresses and sofas, as well as issues with bedroom furniture and noise from the boiler.
The cottage is well-equipped for self-catering and has useful amenities, but some facilities such as the bathroom, sofas, and garden could benefit from upgrades and clearer instructions.
Some guests received a welcome pack and complimentary wine and shortbread, which were appreciated, but these thoughtful touches are not guaranteed for every stay.

Drumnadrochit is a very popular holiday destination and also makes the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. The village boasts several shops, pubs and good places to eat, all within easy walking distance of the cottage.
Take a trip to the ruins of Urquhart Castle set on the edge of Loch Ness, or take a boat trip on the loch and you may catch a glimpse of the elusive Loch Ness monster! The village is surrounded by the glens, Glen Urquhart and Glen Moriston as well as the Great Glen which reaches across from Inverness in the east to Fort William in the west. From the cottage you can take a trip along the Moray coast, dotted with fishing villages and unspoilt beaches, or sample some of the finest whiskies made in Scotland on the Moray Malt Whisky Trail. Visit Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and Cawdor and Brodie Castles, just some of the many historic sites of the area. To the west, take a day trip to the wonderful Isle of Skye and west coast and experience some of the most stunning scenery Scotland has to offer. While to the south visit Fort William, the ’outdoor capital of the UK’, where there is a wonderful array of activities available, including mountain biking, hill walking and climbing to name but a few. Directly from the cottage there are many forest trails where you can either take a quiet stroll, or for the more energetic, take your mountain bike and experience some challenging routes. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind in this delightful little holiday cottage. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

The place was brilliant for us. Close to places we want to go and nice for a relax and quite. Close to the walk up to mountain for those loves hiking or like us, beautiful nature. I would recommend it 100% and I would love to go back again and stay the same place. Thank you

Cottage was ideally situated for long or short walks. A nice pub was only minutes away with a supermarket close by.

Disappointed Location was ok Dishwasher but no tablets provided. Log fire but only left 3 logs. Hand-wash container empty. Towels felt like sandpaper. Only 2 loo rolls. Dishes and glases weird sizes, had to buy our own. Lack of instructions for heating. Took us ages to work out how to close the blinds.
