Location excellent. Very quiet. I would stay here again in the summer months. Thanks to the property owners

Exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable and in a brilliant situation only a few mins walk to the city centre. One big drawback however - the apartment appears to have previously been used as a basement and noise from the Villa above is a real nuisance. Every footstep is heard quite loudly and the apartment ceiling vibrates. Our first night and early next morning were awful as the occupants were apparently packing to leave. It sounded like a herd of elephants, clomping about and dragging suitcases around. The second night was fine as the Villa was unoccupied, however once further guests arrived the next day we once again had to suffer the noise from foot fall, and also conversations. I would have awarded 5 stars, but it gets only 3 because of this. Such a shame as it really is a lovely apartment, but we would not return. One little suggestion for the owner - it might be a good idea to have a guest manual with instructions re : using the dishwasher, microwave and cooker (as is often the case with holiday accommodation). We were fine, but not everyone is familiar with differing types, makes and models.

The only thing we could see for information was about the smoke alarms. My spouse accidentally set them off one morning while using her hair straightener, and we could not figure out how to silence them. I tried pushing all the buttons on them, but ended up having to fan them all to quiet them. Not a complaint in anyway as it was just a minor inconvenience, and we were worried about upsetting the people upstairs. It was a very beautiful place to stay, and we had a wonderful time there.
