Pine Cottage is one of three characterful, semi-detached farm cottages built in the 19th century. Set 10 minutes out of Inverness, they are surrounded by pasture and there’s a nearby woodland you can explore. Highland cows are also regular visitors to the paddocks around the cottage. The accommodation itself is characterful and spacious. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, an open-plan living/dining room with amazing old stove from the mid-20th century, a family bathroom, and two bedrooms (both doubles, one with with en-suite) all on the ground floor. There’s a twin room on the first floor which children particularly enjoy! There’s a shared garden which wraps around the properties and offers many lovely places to sit and relax and simply soak up a lovely spot. The cottage is close to the coast and sandy beaches are only a short drive away in Nairn. Pine Cottage is an excellent choice of base for your Highland holiday.

Easter Dalziel Farm is to the east of Inverness, along the old road to Nairn, less than a mile from the sea and only a few miles from a pebbly beach where you can spot resident bottenose dolphins every day of the year. Sandy beaches await in Nairn or across the Moray Firth on the Black Isle at Rosemarkie, which is another excellent place to spot the dolphins. Pine Cottage is an excellent base for your holiday in the Highlands.

The Highland capital Inverness is very close and offers so much to visitors. Loch Ness is only 10 minutes further on to the west from the city and the road beyond beckons to the west coast, Isle of Skye and Ben Nevis. The NC500 starts and finishes in Inverness so you can easily pick this world-famous touring route up and head north to explore some more iconic spots. To the south, only 40 minutes by car you can be in Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park hiking, biking, skiing, the list goes on. To the east beyond historic Nairn the Moray Coast, with amazing fishing villages awaits, as does the Speyside Whisky Trail. When not rushing around in the car you may want to either simply relax at the cottage and watch the sheep and lambs as well as Highland ‘coos’ and calves come and go. It’s a pastoral scene that you’ll never tire of. There’s also excellent fly-fishing nearby with some of the most famous salmon rivers in the world only a short drive away. Golf courses are of a very high standard and plentiful too - Castle Stuart Links is only a few hundred yards away, and Nairn has two championship links courses to play as well. We urge you to book Pine Cottage and be sure of a decision well made - a wonderful Highland holiday awaits! Beach 3½ miles.

Pine Cottage can be booked together with Rowan Cottage (UK38991) and Birch Cottage (UK38992) to accommodate up to 16 guests.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Would highly recommend for family’s or single people. It’s in an idyllic setting and the hosts were lovely! So quiet and picturesque with the only noise being from the sheep and wild birds. 10/10.

Our family group rented all three cottages (Birch, Pine & Rowan). They were warm and well-equipped, good value for the price, and had plenty of outside space. Easter Dalziel is in a perfect location, with very helpful and friendly hosts. Easy access to Inverness Airport and the airport's railway station (with free parking). Close to Inverness, Leakey's Bookshop, Inverness Clachnacuddin, Ben Wyvis Kilts, the Caledonian Canal, Drumnadochit & Loch Ness, Cromarty & the Black Isle, Culloden, Clava Cairns, Cabot Highlands golf, Tornagrain, Harry Gow outlets, Fort George, Brodie Castle and Nairn. Overall, comfortable lodgings which suited us very well.
