This spacious cottage occupies a private corner location in the charming area of Nairn known as Fishertown. This area is very close to the coast and has an ambience all of its own. The array of pretty cottages also benefit from the excellent facilities that the town of Nairn has to offer. Cantie Cottage provides smart accommodation over two floors and is ideal for a family or group of friends who will love the close proximity to the gorgeous sandy beaches. There is a rather neat double bedroom at ground floor level and three more on the upper floor. The homely farmhouse style kitchen is very well-equipped and the utility room has a drying pulley ideal if you have been swimming in the sea! In the evening guests can relax in the sitting room with its welcoming open fire. At the front of the cottage is a very private courtyard that is an excellent place for a summer evening barbecue before a stroll on the beach to watch the sunset. Nairn itself is also famous for being home to two championship golf courses along with a busy little High Street with plenty of shops to suit all requirements. Close by you can pick up the Malt Whisky Trail and not only enjoy the stunning Speyside scenery but enjoy a free dram from the many distilleries along the way, if you are not driving of course. The area is rich in wildlife and visitors must take advantage of the many boat trips available to venture out onto the waters of the Moray Firth for a bit of dolphin watching. All in all a great location for a holiday and a simply ideal cottage that will be appreciated by all. EPC Rating: Band E
Nairn is an attractive and lively seaside town which has long been a popular holiday destination and is just 16 miles from the town of Inverness. The town offers some of the top beaches in Scotland and cleanest bathing waters in Britain. Also, one of the only two dolphin colonies in the UK is based in the Moray Firth.

Than that clean well maintained and bags of room

However, we found it tired, neglected and in much need of maintenance for the money charged. Main bathroom toilet seat lopsided/poorly fitting, lampshade skew-wiff and loose in one of bedrooms, shower poorly fitted in en suite, patio area in dire need of weeding and sweeping, dining chairs old, dilapidated and uncomfortable. All in all, this is why we describe it as tired and in need of some attention. Thank you, we had a pleasant stay, but we will not be booking this property again.

Nothing is better than enjoying waking up in the morning, have a coffee next to the log fire. Btw the small fireplace is so easy to use, highly recommended!
