Am Bothan is in a superb location with a fantastic view from the front of the house. It's on a quiet road for walking by Loch Ewe. For a small house the rooms are spacious. The sitting/dining room is very pleasant with a view across the loch. There is a good porch room for wet dogs and jackets. The cottage is let down by a feeling of damp at the back of the house, especially in the kitchen which does not have a heater and was very cold. The bathroom needs better ventilation and was difficult to dry. We would have appreciated instructions on how to use the heating system. We were a group of 4 and the kitchen needed a big saucepan suitable for pasta and could have done with big bowls for pasta. We would still recommend the cottage because of the stunning view, location and the comfortable sitting room.

Lovely area to explore. Cottage was in a good location with beautiful view over Loch Ewe. Front of the cottage was light, but the back is dark and because of this somewhat colder. Nice cosy lounge with a log burner and a view across the loch.

A gem of a place! Couldn’t have wished for better! Simon & Janet (owners next door) very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. Loved the homemade biscotti! Thank you!
