3 Breckery is a charming crofter’s cottage offering stunning views and a peaceful location ideal for exploring Skye. Guests consistently praise its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and secure garden, especially for dogs. The cottage is appreciated for its character and comfort, with many guests eager to return. While some mention minor maintenance and cleanliness issues, these are outweighed by the positive experiences. The location is particularly celebrated for its proximity to local sights and walking routes, making it a perfect base for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with particular praise for the bathroom and general presentation. However, a few reviews mention issues such as carpet odours, cobwebs, and occasional missed cleaning in some areas, which slightly impacted the overall impression.
The location is universally praised for its breathtaking views, tranquillity, and proximity to Skye’s main attractions and walking routes. Guests highlight the peaceful setting and easy access to local sights as standout features.
Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, enjoying the log burner, comfy beds, and relaxing atmosphere. A few minor comments about creaky beds and low ceilings for tall guests were noted, but overall comfort is highly rated.
The cottage is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, and secure garden. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues, such as tired furniture, lack of cutlery on arrival, or the need for updated garden furniture, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
While guests appreciated the secure garden and suggestions for improvements like a guest book or information folder, there is no mention of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches. Some reviews note the absence of basic supplies on arrival, so guests should bring essentials. Please note that gifts are not guaranteed.

A lovely gem of a crofters’ cottage. A great place to stop just up the road from The Old Man of Storr, with an amazing view. The cottage is comfortable, clean and has everything you could need. We can’t wait to return!
