The Highland Folk Museum and the Clan MacPherson Museum are two outstanding, award-winning museums in Newtonmore, which is situated in the Cairngorms National Park, the largest national park in the United Kingdom, and overlooks the River Spey. The Wildcat Trail in Newtonmore is a well-liked 7-mile circular walk that circles the village's perimeter. It passes by the River Spey and offers views of the Cairngorm Mountains across the valley, as well as woodland, moorland, and the Monadhliath Mountains behind the village. The Folk Park, Kincraig's Wildlife Park, Carrbridge's Landmark, and the Steam Railway are also prominent local attractions for younger visitors. The cottage was clean and cosy and well kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. The garden is superb if youâre a wildlife lover like we are, and there are plenty of walkâs available right from the doorstep. Highly recommend.
