Dail Na Seilg is a welcoming, detached cottage in the Cairngorms National Park in Newtonmore, Highland. With off-road parking, spacious living areas, an enclosed garden and nearby amenities, the cottage makes a wonderful base for a family or group of eight hoping to explore the Scottish Highlands. Step inside the charming abode and locate the kitchen/diner, ready to serve your self-catering needs with an electric oven, induction hob and dishwasher. Tuck-into breakfast at the dining table for four or set the larger table in the separate dining room, with space for all eight guests to enjoy a hearty meal together. During the summer months, a lovely, enclosed garden awaits with two seating areas to dine alfresco or kick back with a cold beer.
There are two sitting areas to choose from; a sitting room with cushioned seating, a TV and a woodburning stove to snuggle up on colder nights, whilst the sun room is a light-filled sanctuary to relax with a book. After the day's adventures, park your bikes in the garage, put your walking gear on a spin ready for tomorrow, and freshen up in the cloakroom before dinner. Upstairs you'll find a bath to pour in the bubbles and soak tired muscles or take a hot shower, all the while your towel warms on the heated towel rail. Climb under the sheets in either the double, one of two twins, or claim the master bedroom; a king-size with a TV and en-suite shower room.
Newtonmore is a popular base in the Cairngorms National Park with shops, eateries, a golf club and petrol station right on your doorstep, plus the Highland Folk Museum to discover artifacts dating from the 1700s to 1960s. Head to Kingussie to explore the Highlands by horseback, browse the Fused and Light gallery or the medieval Ruthven Barracks, the ruins of a hilltop fort. Those seeking more history should visit Aviemore's Ring Cairn and Stone Circle, dating back to 2,400 BCE, as well as Rothiemurchus, a 13th-century island castle; wildlife lovers will also find the Craigellachie National Nature Reserve here!

It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day, with the lovely sunroom as well as the lounge with wood burner to keep you warm on those chilly days. It is well located for exploring the Cairngorms and beyond. We highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

The location is ideal for the shops and walking areas, wild cat trail was fun. The washing machine, tumble drier and ironing board came in very handy and was a blessing to have there. The slay beds are really comfortable and lovely. The other amenityâs are also brilliant. We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again. PS seeing and feeding the ducks was also a highlight of our stay. Thank you The Smith and Bloom Family.

Putting my health and safety hat on, my only concern is the HOT tap in the kitchen. This really needs a control valve on the tap to make sure no one scalds themselves. Signs are behind tap and not obvious at first.
