The Narrows is situated just off the picturesque North Coast 500 route, on one of the most scenic parts of this renowned and stunning coastal route. There are superb walks direct from the cottage along the riverbank and through the surrounding hills. The immediate area is a wildlife enthusiast’s paradise. Whales, dolphins, sea eagles and otters are all seen close by, and Pine Martin visit the picnic table just outside the window. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, this unique part of west coast Highlands enjoys a mild climate and is scenic and totally unspoilt. The sub-tropical gardens of Inverewe, just 5 minutes’ drive away, bear testament to this. Golf, fishing, cycling, hill walking, sailing and canoeing are all local pastimes. With wonderful sandy beaches, bays and islands this is an ideal location for visitors and a real get-away-from- it-all holiday. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub 1 mile.

We had a lovely week at the Narrows, weather not great but that cant be helped. It was a so peaceful and relaxing, which is why we chose this location. Watching the birds and wildlife, Pine Martens and Badgers visited every night. Little shop in Poolewe sells most essentials and Coop in Gairloch was great for a good shop. The farm shop opposite well worth a wander around and sells all the bird seed and nuts for the wildlife which is a must....aswell as a good range of other things. Ullapool definetly worth the ride out and the scenery is spectacular. Kenny our host was very helpful and friendly, we didnt need anything but i got the impression he would be more that happy to help. The Narrows is perfect for a quiet and relaxing break. Thankyou!

Great location, lots of wildlife in the garden, clean and lovely and warm.Extra crockery, glasses and cutlery would have been good.We love to shop for food locally and to cook at base so we used lots of crockery etc.
