Stayed here for 2 nights with the family. Absolutely beautiful place with views. The owner had left us everything we'd need for our stay. It's within walking distance of Portree and theres even some Highland cows nearby! One improvement i would suggest is having blinds in the main living area for some privacy as people walking on the path behind the house can see in. Other than that, it was the perfect stay. Thanks for the accommodation!

I recently stayed here with a few family members and my dog. While it says dog friendly when booking, please be aware that there are a number of restrictions including dogs not being allowed in the bedrooms. I have a Hungarian vizsla, they are known for being Velcro dogs. He does not sleep in another room. There was no advance notice about these restrictions. Please be aware so you can transport a crate etc. or like me, you may have booked elsewhere. As mentioned in previous reviews, all outside bins were full. Resulting in litter around the garden. There was an update about local collections in the house manual but no timetable. We put the bin out when we saw the lorry but it was not collected. We reported via council website but at the end of our stay all bin were still full with other bags left beside. The washing machine door is damaged, perhaps just wear but it is extremely difficult/almost impossible to open. The general cleanliness was just ok. Clearly furniture isn’t being moved so significant amounts of dust have accumulated behind objects. Paint and sealant in some areas could benefit from a refresh. This is a really nice house and it’s in a pretty good location. Generously sided rooms and nice furnishings. I don’t enjoy making this all public. I tried to send this feedback privately but website not interested and said to go ahead and post a review. I have photos if they are interested. The garden with beer cans and empty packets is a highlight!
