Guests consistently praise The Old Mill for its stunning views, cosy atmosphere, and peaceful setting. The well-equipped kitchen, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like home-baked biscuits contribute to a delightful stay. Its location is ideal for exploring the Isle of Skye, with local amenities and attractions within easy reach. The property's charm and comfort make it a highly recommended choice for a memorable holiday.
Reviewers frequently mention the cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as immaculate and well-maintained. The absence of any negative comments regarding cleanliness supports a high score in this category.
The location is highly praised for its spectacular views and proximity to local shops and attractions. While one review mentioned a 34-mile round trip to Portree for provisions, the overall sentiment about the location is very positive.
Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the cottage cosy, warm, and welcoming. The presence of a log burner and peaceful surroundings contribute to the high level of comfort experienced by visitors.
The facilities are generally described as well-equipped and to a high standard. A few minor issues, such as the oven and grill not working for one guest, slightly lower the score, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack and home-baked biscuits. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, the score reflects the positive impact while acknowledging the variability.
A charming, detached converted old mill in a delightful riverside location situated in Staffin, a friendly crofting community on the magical Isle of Skye. Specifics for thought were: Wi-Fi code was wrong - a text exchange with the owner quickly sorted it but be worth changing the paperwork We couldnât find sky on the tv - but managed fine with free sat Kitchen crockery and pans were great and we loved the Uig pottery - but we were a bit short on kitchen utensils - specifics we missed were wooden spoons, microwave dishes, a lemon squeezer - we managed fine though

The surroundings were beautiful; loved the grazing sheep in the backyard. It was also nice to have the Hungry Gull within walking distance. Thank you!
