Absolutely fabulous place to stay. The cottage is beautiful, clean and very homely (these photos don’t do it justice, it has since had a revamp). Everything you could possibly need is available, and the host is on hand should you require anything. We were lucky enough to meet the owner whilst she was tending to the pony (Rosie) and she was very warm and welcoming with lots of local knowledge and advice. The location is perfect, Strathpeffer is a beautiful little village, with a mini Morrisons, pharmacy and deli within walking distance to the property. There are also larger supermarkets within driving distance. There are many walks on the doorstep, but also great access to roads leading to Inverness, Loch Ness and the wider Highlands. If you are considering this property then I urge you to not hesitate, and remember to pack carrots for Rosie.

We stayed at this cottage whilst attending a convention in Dingwall. The cottage met our needs of a base from which to attend the event, and it was spotlessly clean. The decor and furniture are functional and I imagine it would be well suited to those who are visiting for outdoor pursuits as it is near to lots of walks and the house itself doesn't have much in the way of carpets to dirty with muddy boots! The kitchen is relatively well equipped with enough of everything you need and the owners very kindly left fresh flowers in the lounge and kitchen, together with chocolates and wine for us to enjoy, all of which was very welcoming. The parking space at the side of the house was useful and the views from both front and rear windows were beautiful. There's plenty of storage in the bedrooms and good worktop and storage in the kitchen. All in all, a handy find!
