Swona is located just 100 yards from the beach with uninterrupted views over the sea towards Orkney. This is an ideal location for holiday makers looking at exploring the north coast of Scotland, with John O’Groats only 5 miles away and the thriving town of Thurso only 10 miles away. There are numerous stunning walks from the lodge which will allow you to take in the wildlife on this rugged coast line. The stunning Dunnet Beach is only a short walk away or why not hop on a ferry from Scrabster and explore the Orkney Isles?
The lodge is set in a beautiful location and offers guests a high level of comfort throughout. There is an open plan living space, designed to enjoy the view from the glass gable over the sea and islands beyond. There is an around deck, which is fully enclosed, so the little ones cannot escape, with a seating area and a six person hot tub to relax and take in the views after a hard day of exploring and building sand castles.
This area has miles of golden sands and beaches where local pastimes include surfing, body boarding, riding a sand buggy, swimming and horse riding. This is the perfect getaway for people looking to spend time as a family and retreat for cosy evenings in a great lodge. Beach 100 yards. Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
