Travel northwards to the Moray Firth coast and visit the quaint little fishing villages dotted along the shore, where you may even be lucky enough to spot the famous Moray Firth Dolphins. Some will simply prefer to walk the popular Speyside Way and see the beauty of the area on foot, and for fisherman, the River Spey offers excellent opportunities, with permits available locally. Archiestown is a pretty and tranquil village located in beautiful Morayshire to the north of the River Spey and is one of the highest villages in Moray. In the centre of the village is a pretty tree-lined square, which is a designated conservation area, and the Archiestown Hotel occupies a corner location on the square. Archiestown is a very well kept and friendly village that has won the Moray village in bloom competition on many occasions.
