Guests say

Guests generally find Tombeck Cottage to be a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped property in a fantastic location, ideal for hiking and enjoying the local Scottish landscape. The village's friendly atmosphere and amenities, such as shops and pubs, are appreciated. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues and the presence of a nearby building site, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is frequently described as clean and tidy, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. One review mentioned finding remnants of food and provisions, suggesting room for improvement, but overall, the property is well-kept.

The location is praised for its beautiful surroundings and proximity to local amenities and hiking trails. However, the presence of an active building site nearby has been noted as an eyesore by some guests, slightly impacting the location's appeal.

Most reviews find the property comfortable, with good beds and a spacious layout. There are some mentions of wobbly furniture and squeaky stairs, indicating that while comfort is generally high, there is some room for improvement.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped property mentioned in the reviews. However, guests have pointed out issues with appliance instructions, wobbly shower fittings, and a need for more crockery, suggesting that the facilities could be better maintained.

While some guests appreciated the provision of items such as coffee pods and dishwasher tablets, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to determine if such gestures are standard practice. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that these items will always be provided.

The three bathrooms and large bedrooms made our stay very comfortable, and the beautiful kitchen and living room were perfect for family gatherings. The cottage is very well furnished and has all the appliances you need. It even had a baby cot and a high chair, which was very helpful for us. Our only issue was the rather small fridge given the number of people the house can accommodate. The owner was very helpful and quick in answering. We highly recommend it!

Couple of things would like to provide feedback on is the sweaky sound on the stairs and while walking upstairs and would be great to have some mats in the kitchen and the carpet in the Lounge needs a proper wash.

Very comfortable, cosy and clean with good beds. The surroundings are amazing and good for several hikes nearby. The only suggestion/tip we have is regarding the limited crockery. A bit more cans and plates would be helpfull. As we were with only 3 guests it was sufficient. We highly recommend Tombeck.
