Guests say

Auldfield Cottage receives high praise for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and well-equipped kitchen, making it a comfortable home from home. Guests appreciate the peaceful location with lovely countryside views and easy access to local amenities and attractions. Communication with the owner is excellent, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of wine are noted, though not guaranteed. Minor suggestions include improvements to mattresses, sofas, and the provision of basic starter items. Overall, guests consistently enjoy their stays and many return for repeat visits.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean and well-presented, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Only one review mentions a need for a little TLC to freshen up rooms, but this does not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Guests consistently praise the quiet, scenic location with open countryside views and convenient access to both local amenities and attractions. The proximity to Elgin and the A96 is appreciated, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

The cottage is described as spacious, homely, and comfortable, with particular mention of comfortable beds and sofas. However, a few guests noted that the mattresses and sofas could be improved for even greater comfort.

The property is frequently described as well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and spacious enough for families or groups. Suggestions for improvement include providing more starter supplies (e.g., dishwasher tablets, bin liners, milk) and minor maintenance to furniture.

Guests appreciate the detailed welcome pack, clear instructions, and excellent communication with the owner. A welcome bottle of wine is mentioned by several guests, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Second time staying at the accommodation as we loved it so much the first time! Excellent communication with property owner and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Would definitely book again!

This our second time staying here, we loved it both times. Lovely, spacious and clean with everything you need for your stay! Clear and simple instructions how to collect keys etc. Feels like a home from home, bed is extremely comfortable! Location is perfect for us as visiting family but great for exploring Moray and not too far down to Aviemore.

A lovely homely feeling. Well presented and spotlesly clean. Great instructions including local features and activities. Our cruise on Loch Nes was great. Oh and thank you for the welcome bottle of wine.
