We spent a weekend at Printmakers Cottage. It was a beautifully appointed cottage, with lovely artwork by the owner. Had everything we needed and plenty of space for everyone. It was so thoughtful to have some essentials there on our arrival - fruit, bread, butter etc. The location is fantastic - gorgeous views out to the marina. Very peaceful place. Close to the Crinan Basin, where we took a canal cruise, learning lots about the canal and surrounding areas. An hours drive to Oban. We took the ferry to Gigha too, so the cottage is a great base to explore this part of the world. Would absolutely recommend and we would love to go back.

This is a very cosy and spotlessly clean cottage. The location was stunning with views across the marina and canal and was very peaceful. Plenty of local wildlife to watch from the front windows. The welcome pack of bread, milk, fruit etc was a nice touch. As the cottage is in a very quiet hamlet you do need to plan ahead for meals as the nearby supermarkets are the "local" variety so do not have a lot of choice. The eating out places and takeaways are also very scarce. We noticed the Tesco delivery vans passing the property every day so that may be the best way of ensuring you have plenty to eat.A very relaxing stay and we were very sad to leave.

The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful location. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved sitting looking out at the view over the marina and there were good walks into Crinan and along the canal. There are lots of lovely places to visit and plenty of wildlife to see, including beavers just a couple of miles away. We visited Kilmartin museum and saw the rock art, saw stone circles, drove down to the Mull of Kintyre and Southend, stopping at Westport beach on the way, which is a stunning surfing beach with golden sand. We also got the ferry as foot passengers to the Isle of Gigha, which we really enjoyed, and we went to Crarae gardens. We had a lovely meal at the Tayvallich Inn and the nearby cafe is also a treat. We also had a wonderful meal at the seafood bar at the Crinan Hotel and there is a great cafe in that village too. We would have gone on the ferry to Islay but could not book it, so that will have to be next time. There will definitely be a next time.
