Cormack Lodge at Brodie Castle offers a comfortable stay with its well-fenced garden, cosy atmosphere, and ideal location for walks and exploring the Northern Highlands. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the provision of towels, and the thoughtful touches like milk and biscuits. While some guests encountered issues with maintenance and facilities, improvements have been noted over time, enhancing the overall experience.
The majority of guests found the property clean and well-presented, with fresh flowers and a welcome tray adding to the positive impression. However, a few mentioned musty smells and a mouse carcass, which slightly affected the overall cleanliness perception.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful setting in the Brodie Castle grounds, offering excellent walks and proximity to local attractions. The nearby fast road was a concern for some, but the location's benefits seem to outweigh this.
Comfort levels are generally high, with guests mentioning comfortable beds and a warm, cosy atmosphere. Some guests, however, found the furniture uncomfortable and the bed too firm, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and garden space. Issues with broadband, TV reception, and heating were noted, alongside a lack of comprehensive information packs. Recent improvements have been acknowledged, indicating attention to feedback.
Guests felt welcomed by thoughtful gestures such as milk and biscuits on arrival, and fresh flowers. While these touches are appreciated, it should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It all combined to make a good self catering let; a really nice comfortable home from home. The book shelves were a great idea and I added a couple of books I finished there. The welcome tray and fresh flowers were an other lovely idea. I look forward to going back next year.

Love the area. Cottage is perfect. Will be back

We found bed too small. Fairly busy road outside not comfortable to walk along to nearby cafe.
