We had an amazing stay at Gallowhill Quarryside Lodge. The lodge is spotless, cosy, and extremely well equipped, set in a peaceful and beautiful location. It was perfect and the two dogs loved it, with plenty of space and a really relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.The hot tub was a real highlight — ideal for unwinding after a day out — and the fire pit made the evenings extra special. Sitting outside with a fire going was so peaceful and enjoyable.The hosts were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the start. We couldn’t fault a thing and would 100% recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing break. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely and relaxing week long stay at the Gallowhill Lodges. The lodge itself it’s extremely clean and new, inside you have all the kitchen amenities you could possibly need - we made full use of this and cooked up a storm. The bed is extremely comfortable. You can control the lodge temperature and we always felt lovely and warm. The hot tub is the perfect temperature although due to pipes freezing over we didn’t get use of the hot tub until the 2nd afternoon of our holiday. The host made sure to message us the day of arrival to check in and she saw us mid week to make sure we were OK. Cons: I have very few “cons” more so suggestions - a bedside table would be a great addition as there isn’t a place to put water and your phone while it charges overnight & the hot water at the kitchen sink goes off after a few minutes so you can only wash 2-3 dishes at a time. The only downside to our break away from was the 10am checkout. We understand it needs to be cleaned for new guests at 4pm coming but considering we stayed for a full 7 days and a had hoped for even a 12pm checkout as we had to wait at the station 2 hours for our train home. Aside from that - perfect! Would highly recommend and would return.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Gallowhill Quarryside for a week. It has everything you need for beautiful peaceful stay. It is fully equipped and evident that the owner has put care and attention in to everything they have supplied. We loved it and look forward to coming back.
