Guests say

Burncliff is a charming and spacious cottage ideal for families, offering a warm and cosy stay with an Aga and log burner. It boasts a great location with beautiful views and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and enclosed garden. A welcome hamper adds a thoughtful touch, though its provision is not guaranteed.

The property is generally well-received for cleanliness, though a few guests mentioned the presence of spiders and cobwebs. Overall, the cleanliness seems to meet the expectations of most visitors.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and convenience, being within walking distance to beaches, shops, and local attractions. It is considered ideal for exploring the island.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the house warm, with extra blankets available. However, some guests noted the beds were small and uncomfortable for couples, which affects the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, utility room, and a safe enclosed garden. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as non-working kitchen lights and a lack of outdoor dining facilities, which impacts the score.

The provision of a welcome hamper and the owner's responsiveness are seen as thoughtful gestures. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not a guaranteed amenity for every stay.

A lovely place for our two families to stay. Plenty of space for us all. Was lovely to walk down to the sea of an evening. The little basket of Arran produce was a nice touch.

If you want a quiet country rental for a large group, this would be a good choice. Updates have been made so that you can be comfortable while still experiencing an old Arran home.

Wonderful charming home. Perfect for 2 x families of 4. Would be great if dogs could be accepted. Beds very comfortable. Great space out back for kids to play. Lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival. A bit spider-y and cobweb-y but only bothered the girls a little. Would book again in a heartbeat 😀👍
