This is a natural paradise with sightings of red squirrels, golden eagles, red deer, otters, porpoise and seals.

We had a wonderful time. The view over Brodick Bay to Goatfell from An Cala was stunning and made us smile each time we saw it. The accommodation was excellent with everything we wanted within walking distance or a ride on one of the buses that operate on Arran. There is plenty to explore on Arran. Personally we’d recommend climbing Goatfell, walking the length of Glen Rosa and walking along the coast from Blackwaterford to the standing stones at Machrie Moor via King’s Cave. For a shorter adventure walk along the Fisherman’s walk to see red squirrels at the squirrel hide at Brodick Castle. Our party consisted of five adults and the facilities offered at An Cala easily met our needs.

Very comfortable well laid out house that worked perfectly for the three generations of our family. Cinema room and sun room in addition to the lounge gave us plenty of spaces to relax and the three bathrooms meant we were not all fighting to get showered, washed etc. at the same time. Plenty parking and a big enough garden, along with the veranda meant we had useable outside space too. Would highly recommend- and will be booking again.
