The owners were really kind - came to see us when we arrived, and made sure we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of bubbly and some chocolates. They also very generously sent on a sheet sleeping bag that I inadvertently left behind, and refused to accept repayment for the cost of the postage. Just one thing - on the interactive map on the cottages.com website the cottage is shown as being a hundred or two metres south of the main road around Arran, overlooking the sea, where the owners' other properties are. Kilbride Cottage is in fact on the other side of the road, and the garden gate fronts right on to the road, so that we couldn't let the dogs loose in the garden in case they slipped through the hedge or the bars of the gate, or jumped over the low wall straight on to the road. You can see the sea in the distance from parts of the garden and from a bedroom, but the cottage doesn't overlook the sea as it appears in the photos. We would have enjoyed a picnic table with an umbrella. We had lovely hot weather and there's little shade in the garden for most of the day. Otherwise - just great. Thank you!

This cottage was not the one we originally booked and therefore were disappointed with the location.

The perfect place to explore from & return to. Well equipped with all you need. Great kitchen space. Good size bath. Comfy beds. Super warm & at last we found a cottage with a comfortable 3 piece suite to relax on. Blesed with weather to sit outside for breakfast with coffee & a glas of wine in the evening. Thank you for the gifts you left. Really appreciated. Very much recommend this lovely cottage.
