This spacious farmhouse makes an base for a family holiday in the Strathmore area.. Set on a working arable and cattle farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these four welcoming and spacious holiday cottages have been restored to a very high standard. The most recent addition to the collection, Kingfisher Cottage (UK38211) is a renovated, detached, single-storey luxury cottage, tucked way down a farm track. With two stylish bedrooms and beautiful quality furnishings throughout, the high ceilinged open plan living room/kitchen features an eyecatching wood burner flanked by full length picture windows, making the most of the view for the ultimate relaxing experience. Islabank Farmhouse (ref saap) is a traditional, characterful, comfortable farmhouse which is ideal for families. Curlew Cottage (ref syyj) is a charming, beautifully converted, detached, single-storey property and a haven for wildlife. Still part of the farm but located 4 miles away is Osprey Cottage (ref UZQ), a delightful, light and sunny, single-storey detached cottage.
Set amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, fishing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops and pub 3 miles.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We had a fantastic stay at Islabank Farmhouse in Scotland. The location is perfect, with so many amazing walks just a short drive away, and some within walking distance too.The huge garden is one of the best we've ever experienced for our dogs in over 20 years of holidaying with them. They absolutely loved having so much safe space to run around and explore.The farmhouse itself is amazing, spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped. To top it all off, the weather was brilliant throughout our stay.We would 100% recommend Islabank Farmhouse and would love to return in the future. 😊

Islabank Farmhouse was absolutely perfect for us and our 3 dogs. The garden was a great size. It was secure, although ours do have a good sense of boundaries. The house itself had a matted entrance, great for drying them off, and a Lino covered kitchen/diningroom where they could stay without making a mess of furnishings. The living room with the fire was cozy and relaxing. Comfortable beds made a great night's sleep. There are some great walks and it was really nice to see the working farm doing what out does best. We will be returning.
