It's perched in an elevated position on a 1,200-acre estate, making it a wonderful choice for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and dog owners keen to explore the nearby landscapes of Mount Blair, Glen Isla and Glen Shee. The stone-built property has space for eight guests over its four bedrooms - wonderful for a group holiday or trip with extended family.
This detached property, reached via a 0.75-mile country track, has a welcoming feel inside, with exposed stonework throughout and tiled flooring for an elegant finish. Wooden flooring, panelling and furniture create a rustic look and feel, while carefully selected artwork and themed wallpaper add refinement and playfulness - look out for Highland cows that crop up in various places.
Downstairs, you'll have a welcoming hallway and a practical utility/boot room for leaving your outdoor gear. Once you're ready to relax, step into the light-filled open-plan living area, where you'll find a gorgeous kitchen with an AGA plus a dining space with a large wooden table. Bedrooms-wise there are two attractive twins plus another super-king-size with zip-and-link beds (can be made into a twin). This enjoys direct access to the surrounding gardens via an external staircase. The upstairs bedrooms are in the eaves of the home, with partially slanted ceilings and skylights.
The fully enclosed 1.5-acre garden is set against the backdrop of gently rolling hills, so you can light the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco around the large table. Kids and dogs can play happily and safely on the grass. There is also ample off-road private parking at the front of the property.
