Immaculately presented throughout, the ambience within each property provides a haven for relaxation. The open plan living space is bright and airy with stylish furnishings. There are two bedrooms and a large shower room. The decked area is an idyllic spot to relax and listen to the rustle of the leaves dancing in the breeze and enjoy the open views that surround these lovely lodges.
There are many attractions nearby to visit. For those who love the great outdoors there is the Duns Castle Nature Reserve, as well as miles of walking routes surrounding the lodge. The lodge is also well placed for access to the borders, Lothian and Northumberland for picturesque scenes of the Scottish countryside.
For Harry Potter fans, take an hour’s drive to Alnwick Castle and explore the famous grounds where some of the famous scenes were filmed for the movies! For anyone interested in history, you have Manderston House with its beautiful gardens along with Duns Castle and Paxton House that are steeped in local Scottish history.
Berwick Station can take you into the heart of Edinburgh in less than an hour; and it’s just over 20 minutes in the car to venture to the coast of Saint Abbs. After a busy day of exploring, Jessica is a perfect base to return to for a cosy stay.

Jessica lodge is a really comfortable chalet type property on a site shared with one other property. Beds and sofas are very comfortable and the chalet is fairly well equipped. The chalet is well placed for touring many sites in the local area including St Abbs, Eyemouth, Duns, Berwick and Dunbar. The site is really peaceful and we spent many happy evenings sitting on the bench outside watching the wildlife (hares, deer many birds) but the bench would benefit from cushions as you couldn’t sit there for long without them. Ashif was very helpful with the few issues we had and I would definitely recommend this chalet.

Great cottage in peaceful location handy for local castles and coast. Enjoyed four swims locally at Coldingham Bay (twice), Seacliff and Bamburgh beach, and interesting local historical houses at Floors Castle, Tantallon Castle and Paxton House. Lovely coastal walks at Craster, Dunbar and St Abbs. The only thing we missed amenity wise in the cottage was a washing machine but otherwise everything was spot on. I'll be back I'm sure as it's easy to get to so many places from the location.

Jessica was very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Although isolated, which we loved, journeys to all areas were easy. We enjoyed watching hares chasing in the field next door and saw deer down the road too. A particular treat was to sit on the bench on the deck at the front in the sunshine. There were plenty of DVDs, books and games for children if needed for wet days.
