The mediaeval town of Jedburgh is a modest, peaceful town located 10 miles inside the Scottish Border, halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Jedburgh, nestled in the beautiful Borders countryside, has a lot to offer visitors. Nearby, you'll find attractive shops, pubs, and award-winning, family-run restaurants, as well as historic sites like the interesting Jedburgh Castle Jail, Mary Queen of Scots House, and the majestic abbey, which stands above the town and dates back to 1138.
