Tima Log Cabin offers a peaceful, scenic retreat ideal for those seeking tranquillity and a break from modern distractions. Guests praise the beautiful, remote location, spacious lodges, and helpful staff, particularly Gary. While some reviews mention cleanliness and maintenance issues, many found the cabins clean, comfortable, and good value for money. The site is basic, with limited facilities and no Wi-Fi, so guests should come prepared. The setting is perfect for nature lovers and those wanting to unwind, with lovely walks and wildlife nearby.
Reviews are mixed, with several guests finding the lodges clean and tidy, while others reported issues such as dust, dirty cutlery, and a need for deeper cleaning. Some mentioned specific problems like unpleasant odours and leftover items, but positive comments about cleanliness are also frequent.
The location is widely praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and access to nature. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, stunning views, and opportunities for walks and wildlife spotting. The remoteness is a positive for many, though some note the distance to shops and amenities.
Many guests found the cabins warm, cosy, and comfortable, but there are repeated mentions of worn furniture, uncomfortable mattresses, and the need for upgrades. Overall, comfort is adequate for the price, but improvements could be made.
Facilities are basic, with no Wi-Fi and limited on-site amenities. Some guests experienced maintenance issues such as broken appliances, lack of hot water, and insufficient kitchenware. However, the lodges are generally well-equipped for a simple stay, and the peaceful environment is a highlight.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

A mixed review, we were disappointed that the outside of the accommodation looked very run down with the steps and handrail needing attention, very wobbly, possibly unsafe. The door entering properly was also in a poor state. However once entering inside it was nice and clean and generally fine, maybe sort out the TV issue as it is still not working, read about this in another review. DVD player working though, take some if you have kids or you can get from the reception area. The park is situated in a lovely quiet area with loads of wildlife and beautiful scenery around the area. Make sure you have your supplies with you as the nearest town is about 30 minutes away by car. Park has the potential and it does look like the owners are trying to making improvements, We may go back in the future !

We Had a Lovely stay here . Location was remote , beautiful and peaceful. I'd read the reviews before so knew to buy food shop on way to location, brilliant advice . Lodge was clean and spacious. It was like going back in time which for me was lovely , got to watch some classics on normal TV ( no smart tvs) and some movies from my childhood with the dvd player and Gary's collection in the shop which you can borrow on ur stay . We did what we wanted in this location so properly wouldn't return but very happy we visited, we visited kagyu samye ling , Traquair house, grey Mare's Tail waterfall and even took a trip into Edinburgh for the day.
