Tima Log Cabin offers a peaceful retreat in beautiful, tranquil surroundings, ideal for those seeking relaxation and nature. Guests appreciate the quiet location, dog-friendly policy, and spacious, warm lodges. Many note ongoing improvements and friendly staff, though some mention areas needing modernisation and occasional lapses in cleanliness or maintenance. The site is well-suited for walkers and families, with easy access to scenic spots. While some reviews highlight issues with cleanliness and staff attitude, the majority found their stay comfortable and enjoyable, making it a good value option for a countryside escape.
Cleanliness feedback is mixed. Several guests found their lodges clean and tidy, but a notable number reported issues such as dust, dirty utensils, mould, and even pests. Ongoing upgrades may be improving standards, but consistency remains an area for improvement.
The location is widely praised for its peace, quiet, and stunning natural surroundings. Guests enjoy the proximity to walks, rivers, and scenic drives, making it a highlight of the stay.
Most guests found the lodges warm, cosy, and comfortable, with good beds and heating. However, some mentioned worn furniture, uncomfortable mattresses, and the need for updates, which affected their overall comfort.
Facilities are generally adequate, with well-equipped kitchens and essentials provided. Some guests experienced missing items, broken appliances, or outdated fittings, but staff were often responsive in resolving issues. Ongoing upgrades are noted.
