About this property

Lyne Cottage is a recently refurbished holiday cottage located in the Scottish Boarders. This wonderful holiday home is found in the lovely hamlet of Romanno Bridge, near the popular village of West Linton, offering guests local shops plus a traditional pub and restaurant. Romanno Bridge is easily accessed from the M74 motorway from the West, or the City of Edinburgh Bypass from the East, allowing easy access from the North or South. Your new abode is a traditional cottage with a full history extending back to the late 1890's. Fully refurbished to the highest standards, you will be provided with a bright and welcoming holiday home, whilst retaining its original features and traditional country cottage charm. Beyond the doors, there is a spacious layout including a king-size bedroom together with a comfortable sofa bed, making it ideally suited for couples, young families and even friends sharing. For those chillier evenings, the living area has a glowing woodburning stove which is a great spot to gather round and enjoy some board games during a winter night in! In the surrounding areas, not only are there beautiful towns and villages in the province but Edinburgh is also within easy reach to enjoy all that city life has to offer. The Scottish Borders offers various historical castles and places to visit and explore on days out. Several spots are ideally suited for keen walkers and cyclists, to take advantage of the numerous hiking routes and the world-famous Glentress forest bike trails. For a unique and educational outing, the Great Polish Map of Scotland offers a fascinating geographical experience. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beautifully manicured Hay Lodge Park, or step back in time with a visit to the ruins of Cairns Castle and the historic Cross Kirk. Conclude your day by exploring the creative exhibitions at Tweeddale Museum & Gallery. No matter how you choose to spend your time, Lyne Cottage is the perfect, luxurious base for exploring the diverse attractions of the Scottish Borders.
