Guests say

Rothiemay is a well-maintained and beautifully located cottage in Girvan, offering clean, comfortable accommodation with stunning views. Guests appreciate the easy beach access, the well-stocked local shop, and the enclosed garden, perfect for pets. The sunroom is a highlight, providing a serene spot to enjoy the scenery. While some guests mentioned the beds could be more comfortable, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

The cottage receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotless condition and first-class maintenance. The attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal of the property.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to the beach, stunning views of the Isle of Arran, and the tranquillity it offers. The convenience of a local shop and nearby attractions like Culzean Castle add to the location's appeal.

Guests find the cottage spacious and tastefully decorated, with a luxurious bathroom and a cosy sunroom. However, several reviews mention that the mattresses are uncomfortably hard, which impacts the overall comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, with a modern bathroom, smart TV, and a well-kept garden. The conservatory is a favourite feature among guests. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, such as the need for better lighting options and a refresh of the shower's tile grout.

While guests are generally pleased with their stay, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored, and guests should not expect gifts during their stay.

At the south end of Maidenhead Bay in Ayrshire, this fishing community overlooks Arran, Ailsa Craig, and the Mull of Kintyre. Robert the Bruce landed here after sailing from Rathlin Island in Northern Ireland after his spider experience in the early 14th century. The Earls of Carrick lived in Turnberry Castle, now a ruin. With its mediaeval dock, large beach, two restaurants, and closeness to Turnberry and Culzean Castle, Maidens is a popular tourist destination.

Lovely enclosed garden area for dog and great walks down to beach. Cottage itself was spotless and modern and all the utilities you needed. Shop 30 seconds from doorstep is ideal. Would highly recommend for a peaceful break

Great porch / conservatory to relax in. Garden was ideal for the dog and there are loads of places to walk. Housekeeping at the cottage can't be faulted. The local shop is about 30 metres away and stocks about everything you could need. Also worth a visit is Culzean Castle park which is a short walk along the beach and then walk up the road at the end of the caravan park. Great holiday with no problems.

The cottage was of a very high standard. We particularly liked sitting in the conservatory looking out to sea and the hills of Arran. The sunsets were spectacular. We had enjoyable meals locally in Wildings and visited Souters at Kirkoswald. All in all we enjoyed our break. Iris
