Please note: There is a river in the garden, 15 yards away.. Located amidst the rolling hills is the small village of Coulter just south of Biggar, with both Edinburgh and Glasgow less than an hour by car. This charming end terraced cottage has its own sunny back garden and two parking spaces. The accommodation is over two floors and has quite generous rooms. The living room on the ground floor has a nice wood burner for heating up those wee toes after a day’s winter walking or just for using as a nice feature for when it’s ’just a wee bit chilly’. The well-equipped kitchen/dining room has all the appliances you’d expect these days including the all-important dishwasher for when you simply can’t be bothered washing the dishes. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the larger of the two has a comfortable kingsize bed while the second bedroom is a little more flexible and can be used as either a twin or super kingsize bed. The bathroom has a good size bath for those who prefer a nice long soak with a shower over. The house has a real traditional cottagey feel yet with the modern appliances and had a recent upgrade (2021), this is the ideal base either to explore the expanse of the beautiful local countryside or to take advantage of the road network and see the rest of Scotland.

Nice old charm cottage in rural village with walks from the door. Cottage was comfortable and clean with good facilities. There were some basic provisions to get you started and kindly left milk, bread, butter and jam.The house was very warm, I had to turn most radiators down, but the settings were slightly off time so heating came on at 2-3am - too warm and a bit noisy and it wasn’t on later evening when you needed it more, but easily rectified hopefully by owner to reset timer

This is a very basic cottage. Ideal for us as we basically needed a place to sleep in. We were close to where my son lived. Lounge needs a bit more comfort by replacing the settee. Kitchen very well equipped and very spacious. Comfortable beds. Bathroom good.
