Fois House in Callander is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the property's tranquil location with easy access to walking routes and nature. The garden is a hit with dog owners, and the cosy atmosphere with a log burner adds to the charm. Some guests mention thoughtful touches like homemade flapjacks and bird feeders, enhancing their stay. While a few minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning return visits.
Guests frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. There is a single mention of stained bedsheets, but this appears to be an isolated incident in the context of otherwise glowing feedback.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to walking routes and nature. The only drawbacks mentioned are the limited nearby dining options and the distance from a loch, which some guests found misleading.
Comfort is a strong point for Fois House, with guests finding the beds comfy and the property cosy, especially with the log burner. The powerful showers and underfloor heating are also appreciated. A few guests mention issues with heating upon arrival and the desire for better outdoor seating.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, some guests experienced minor maintenance issues such as a blocked vacuum and difficulty with the fire. The lack of Wi-Fi and mobile reception is noted, although some guests viewed this as a chance to disconnect.
While several reviews mention thoughtful gestures such as homemade flapjacks and bird feeders, not all reviews reference such gifts. As it cannot be determined if these are consistent offerings for all guests, it is politely noted that such thoughtful touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Itâs perfectly located for trips to the Lochs or Stirling, and evenings spent around the cosy wood burner helped us to really unwind. The cottage now has wifi and we were able to connect to Netflix via the tv box. Already booked again for next year!

Would give a five star if there was better internet reception.
