Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children under 10 years old except babes in arms. There are sloping banks in the grounds.. Can Duran is a cosy, semi-detached cottage within the Highland Park estate, providing spacious, contemporary accommodation. It has been thoughtfully furnished to provide comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated on the edge of the conservation village of Killin, within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the location couldn’t be better for relaxing, unwinding and leaving the stresses of everyday life behind. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen near to your cottage, including red squirrels, wild birds, roe deer and red deer. Curl up with a book for a lazy afternoon in the cosy living room, or on warmer days, sit out on your covered front door patio. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare that special meal, but if you prefer a break from the kitchen, then local restaurants are only a few minutes’ walk away.

Leave the car behind as there is an abundance of walks on the doorstep along the riverside and within the surrounding countryside and hills, and the spectacular Falls of Dochart. Killin plays host to several events throughout the year including a music festival, Highland games and a fireworks display at Hogmanay, and the village has a good selection of bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. The adjacent River Lochay and River Dochart, joining the nearby Loch Tay, are perfect for a spot of trout or salmon fishing, with boats, equipment and ghillies for hire and lessons available locally. With castles, historic monuments, whisky distilleries and a Highland Safari, there is something for everyone. Shop 800 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    Last minute booking and excellent deal! 5 light bulbs not working but quickly replaced after contacting caretaker. Lovely warm, well equipped house with good parking. No private space outside of house and view from patio door is onto shared pathway with hedge then main road. However wouldn't stop us returning just be aware that views to mountains are from upstairs bedroom window. Kitchen well equipped apart from could do with more than 1 baking tray. Short walk into village, didn't use car the whole week
