We had a lovely stay here. The views out across the bay were wonderful, and the nearby beaches were breathtaking. The nearby community shop and cafe were a good walk away and great places to visit during the day. We needed our car to get the most out of our holiday.

The cottage was in a beautiful picturesque location with stunning views over the bay and close to several beaches. We thoroughly enjpyed our time on the island. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the cottage is a real issue. It is not a standard that you would expect a holiday cottage to be. I dont think it has been hoovered for weeks. To the extent i hoovered the sitting room and filled the cylinder with dog hair and dirt. There was dust everywhere and you could run your finger through it and make a pattern. There was food up the walls and down the radiators and generally just filthy in need of a good deep clean. . Stains all over the carpets and sofa cushions ripped. The sink in the en suite bathroom is hanging off the wall. The kitchen floor had water pouring through which has lifted all the tiles and we ended up having towels on the floor to soak up the water so we werent squelching through it. There was no hot water coming from the kitchen tap nor the first bathroom taps. I did phone the owner David and reported my concerns when we first entered the cottage and to give him his due he doesnt live on the island and he did send the cleaner back to reclean. She came back made many excuses and wiped a cloth over. He has reported the drainage issue to his builder. He couldnt have been more helpful. All in all apart from the cleanliness and issues, we did have a lovely stay, we werent in the cottage much and we didnt let it spoil our holiday.

Upon arriving at the cottage first impressions were good which in my opinion is always a good start. The cottage was kitted out extremely well and furnishing were very comfortable the cottage was in a very picturesque setting, the neighbours were very friendly and chatty. We did experience a water leak in the kitchen which was reported to the owner (and as we had read in the reviews there were previous issues with that) we explained to the owner what was being used at the time and he got straight on to it as soon as we had brought it to his attention. (Faultless customer care) Information from the owner was faultless, upon arriving an email arrived explaining everything and what we could find in the area both locally and further afield. totally a really great holiday which to be honest we really did not want to leave (Which is the only disappointment of the holiday). This is a place we would definitely be booking again if I could give it anymore than 5 stars I certainly would. Thankyou to the owner and to cottages.com for making this possible and having some really great memories to go forward with. Thanks again
