Copper Crab Cottage offers a cosy and well-equipped base for exploring Amlwch and the surrounding area, with guests appreciating its dog-friendly features, enclosed garden, and proximity to local amenities and coastal walks. Many found the cottage comfortable and welcoming, with thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. However, some guests noted areas needing maintenance, particularly in the garden and general upkeep, and a few experienced issues with cleanliness and facilities. Overall, the property provides a pleasant stay, especially for dog owners, with a friendly local atmosphere.
Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Several guests found the cottage clean and welcoming, but others reported dust, cobwebs, stained carpets and bedding, and issues with the garden's tidiness. Some mentioned maintenance issues affecting the overall impression of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised, with guests enjoying easy access to local shops, pubs, coastal walks, and beaches. The cottage is described as being in a great spot for exploring Amlwch and Anglesey, with convenient parking.
Comfort levels varied among guests. Many found the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, but others mentioned steep stairs, cold temperatures, and issues with mattresses and bedding. The cottage is generally suitable for singles or couples, especially those with dogs.
Facilities are adequate for most, with a well-equipped kitchen, good bathroom, and enclosed garden for dogs. However, several guests noted missing or faulty items (e.g., freezer, utensils, smoke alarms), and maintenance issues in the garden and property were highlighted.
Some guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack with milk and biscuits, and helpful advice from the caretaker. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. The cottage was cosy and, although I note what some of the reviews have said, the facilities were good and the cottage was clean and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again-a lovely place!

Excellent stay. Highly recommend if you have dogs. I have 2 large breed dogs and totally enjoyed their stay, the perfect long enclosed garden, easy to clean floors (didn't allow them upstairs)Lovely big comfy bed , wardrobe with lots of hangers, lovely bathroom.A great welcome and welcome pack.Milk/biscuits, a nice touch.Very friendly people in the area and went to the pub twice/sat outside in the sunshine.Went to lastra restaurant. Great food.Coastal walk pretty much straight from the property.2 BBQs during a 3 night stay.Always managed to park on the front. You do need to be able to complete a parallel park manoeuvre, which I don't struggle with at all.Was a little anxious from reading previous reviews but I couldn't fault the property or our stay in any way at all .:)

Back garden is a mess.very untidy and unsafe.Front garden a mess with a full bin when we got there. Also rubbish in front garden.broken front gate.Very poor selection of utensils in draw. ie sharp knifes.knifes and forks very poor quality. Outside furniture needs replacing. Broken fence at bottom of garden. Garden needs weeding and broken slates is the wrong covering for the floor. Propertie was cold even with 3 electric heaters. We lit the log burner but that was a waste of time at giving heat out.Overall I can say about the property the photos are not up to date. Only good part is the shower.
