However we scored it 4 for comfort as we found the sofa and easy chairs a bit uncomfortable as the seats are very long and we are quite short. Also related to this we couldnât reach any of the kitchen items in the second shelf of the kitchen wall cabinets. A small, foldable step stool would be a great addition and could easily be stored in the bathroom storage cupboard. Other than that we had a great stay. Thank you.

We were celebrating our 3rd year anniversary and couldnât have picked a more perfect place to stay. The cottage has absolutely everything you could ever need and more. The owners have put a lot of effort into this cottage and it really shows- itâs absolutely beautiful and so cosy! The location is brilliant, with everything on your doorstep. We especially enjoyed having a walk around the castle and seafront in the evening. There are lots of pubs and cafes within walking distance and a bakery around the corner that sells gorgeous bread and cakes! Weâve stayed in quite a few cottages over the years but The Old Tannery is now a firm favourite of ours!

it was great having a garden with views over the fields and the rooms are spacious and the beds were really comfortable. HOWEVER - Wi-fi did not work at all, in spite of it being listed and this caused issues as I had planned to host a Zoom meeting. The oven was grimy, the walk-in shower could do with an anti-slip mat and there was no bleach etc. available.
