Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Sea views. This detached bungalow plus additional annexe sleeping 2, only 20 yards from the sea, looks out over the rugged coastline of Trearddur Bay with magnificent views out to sea from the living room, dining room, master bedroom, large games room and the large balcony in the annexe. The games room in the annexe has a seating/TV area, table football and pool table (slate bed). The gardens to the front and rear are good sized and there is enough driveway space for a boat. There are many coastal walks around the area (including some on the doorstep). The beach only 20 yards from the property is great for rock pooling. Trearddur Bay’s Blue Flag beach is just around the corner (300 yards), as well as many water sports, including a diving school based in Trearddur Bay. There is also a golf course and stables close by, as well as sea fishing. Take a trip around the island and see many beaches and places of interest such as Plas Newydd and Beaumaris with its castle. There is the rugged terrain of Snowdonia to explore, and Ireland is not that far; why not take a day trip to Dublin. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

The location of this house is absolutely perfect! The sea is literally on the doorstep! We spent a lovely morning paddling and collecting sea glass.The house has huge bedrooms and good size living spaces. The dining table needs more chairs. In a house that sleeps 11, a dining room with only 8 chairs was odd.The kitchen was well equipped however little things like salt and pepper, some cling film or foil would have been nice.Also, the fireplace has no starter kit, every house I’ve ever stayed in at least had a log and kindling for the first night so make sure you take your own if you want to use the fire. It’s not needed really as the house was toasty warm when we arrived late on the Friday. The beds are clean and comfortable, the towels are very soft and fluffy.The views from the balcony and upstairs windows are outstanding.We loved it so much we booked again for March before we’d even left on Monday!

If you are expecting gold plated taps and a butler service this place is not for you. However, if you need a brilliantly located base with exceptional sea views then Gwelfor is the place. Yes I agree it definitely needs some TLC and some new bedding , even a few cushions on the sofa would be a bonus but over all we had a fab week there. Every thing you need to self cater is supplied and the annex games room is ideal for rainy days. A previous review mentioned the loo seat, we adjusted it and now it fits. The rusty bits, well I would guess that's due to the big blue salty thing over the road. We had friends over and everyone agreed that we would book this house again. What's not to like.

This was the most dirty cottage we have ever stayed in. We had to clean the fridge before we could use it. Coffee table and window sills were sticky. The toilet seat in the bathroom downstairs was too small so you were sitting on the ceramic part of the toilet. There were 3 showers not one had a handrail. This is a lovely cottage and the location is excellent but it needs an upgrade and a deep clean. Even the crockery ,plates , cups all had to be washed before use. The handrail leading down the steps outside was rusty and flaking away. In the annex my daughter found dirty socks under the pool table so this obviously hasn't been cleaned. The drain outside wasn't connected so when you empty the sink the water flooded the patio outside.
