Guests say

Isallt Lodge in Trearddur Bay is praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location close to beaches and amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, tasteful decor, and thoughtful touches. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests planning to return.

Most guests found Isallt Lodge to be clean and well-maintained, though a few mentioned issues with cleanliness such as dust and unwashed crockery. The majority of reviews, however, reflect a high standard of cleanliness, contributing to a positive experience.

The location of Isallt Lodge is consistently praised for its proximity to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions. Guests are delighted with the stunning views and the convenience of the nearby amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring Trearddur Bay.

Guests report that the beds are very comfortable and the living areas are cosy and welcoming. The lodge's airy and light atmosphere is frequently mentioned, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The lodge is well-equipped, with a modern kitchen and amenities like Sky TV and WiFi. However, some guests noted the absence of a washing machine and minor maintenance issues like broken window handles and blinds. Overall, the facilities meet the needs of most guests, but there is room for improvement.

While guests have expressed appreciation for the lodge's beachy touches and the provision of a welcome bottle of wine, there are not enough references to gifts or additional thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Very comfortable apartment with everything you need for a lovely stay. Just a short walk to the beach and village. No issues and owners friendly. Would recommend and will return.

However, our feedback has to be honest and we were immediately disappointed by the cleanliness. The bed sheets did not look fresh, hair under pillow cases, there was thick dust on windowsills and crumbs on the kitchen worktop. The bathroom was missing a hand towel and mat for the floor. We reported the issues to the owners straightaway and were promised a visit from the cleaning team but they never arrived. This was the most disappointing thing, feeling ignored and the owners didn’t check on us throughout the week to ensure the issues were resolved. We loved Treaddur Bay so much, but are unlikely to rebook Isallt Lodge again due to these issues.

The location was ideal and within easy access to the local pub for evening meals but also within walking distance of the main Treaddur Bay area for all facilities. Love this particular area because of access to all the small coves and beaches. Would recommend this property. Thanking you again.
