About this property

Beautifully renovated and with off-road parking, Pen-Y-Bryn is a stunning Hayloft resting in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Sir Ynys Mon, ideal for a family or group of couples looking to explore the coast and countryside of Anglesey. Be met by the picturesque stone-built exterior of the property as you unpack with ease from ample off-road parking and make yourself at home in an open-plan living area with a light and airy atmosphere and large windows. Llanfairpwllgwyngyll is a great location with a selection of shops, eateries and pubs, and has the longest name in Europe. The property is close to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Pili Palas Nature World, Anglesey Sea Zoo and a whole host of fantastic beaches just waiting to be explored. Watersports can be enjoyed from the Menai Strait, and coastal trails through the breath-taking scenery can be found in abundance. Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Penrhyn all offer independent shops to browse at your leisure, and amazing castles where you can learn more about the history and heritage of the local area, and hiking, wild swimming, watersports and more can be had in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. All of this and much more with a stay at the beautiful Pen-Y-Bryn.

The Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogoch, often known by its abbreviated form of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, has the longest place name in Europe, with locals referring to it as Llanfair PG. Its name, which translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave," was made up in 1860 as a publicity ploy for the railway station. Llanfair PG, which is located near the Britannia Bridge and close to the Menai Straits, has a lot to offer families. You can reach the Marquis of Anglesey monument and column by taking a short detour beyond the octagonal Toll House in the direction of Menai Bridge. For a small cost, you may ascend the 115 steps to the summit for stunning views of the surrounding countryside and coast. On the Menai Straits' banks, Nelson's Monument is easily accessible, and you may pass St. Mary's Church on there. There is much to keep you entertained all year long thanks to the nearby stunning Anglesey shoreline, a number of excellent pubs with restaurants, craft and gift stores, and cafés, as many watersports activities and beaches to explore.

There were books available along with board games and crime solving puzzles! We stayed during Storm Darragh so we really appreciated the extra indoor activities. Dafydd called to see us to reassure us that he was close if we needed him in the storm and even provided torches in case the electricity went off. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely look to book again. Thank you very much for making my husband’s birthday get away so special.

The house was absolutely perfect for our group – spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We loved how cozy and inviting the atmosphere was, and the location was ideal for our get-togethers. From the fully equipped kitchen to the beautiful outdoor space, every detail was thoughtfully arranged. We had an unforgettable time and really appreciated how easy and stress-free everything was. I hope we can do it again sometime soon!

The location made it easy to explore the island, and the property's thoughtful design made for a comfortable and stylish break. The owners were exceptionally welcoming, adding to the overall fantastic experience. We loved it so much that we've already booked again for 2025!
