About this property

Ty Llwyd is a holiday cottage in a fantastic location in the coastal village of Trearddur Bay on Anglesey. It;s ideal for a family seaside holiday as it’s only a two minute walk from several sandy beaches and rocky coves. There’s a pub in walking distance as well as local shops as well as a choice of places to eat and drink. Ty Llwyd is a lovely holiday cottage that’s bright and welcoming and offers lovely sea views.

There are no less than two spacious sitting rooms. One offers a TV with comfy sofa and chairs set around a wood burning stove, which makes this a holiday cottage for all seasons! The other sitting room has two sofas and an ornamental fireplace. Both rooms have pretty views.

There is a stunning kitchen, dining and conservatory area that’s bright and cheerful. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and large oven with hobs.

Downstairs are two bedrooms: one small double room with a wash basin, and a small bunk room with full-sized bunks. There is also a shower room with walk in-shower, wash basin and loo.

Upstairs is a large twin room and a large bedroom with a king size bed. The family bathroom has a bath, wash hand basin and loo.

Ty Llwyd has its own private garden with lawn, rocky outcrops, and a brilliant decking area where you can sit and enjoy your morning cuppa before a happy day ahead. There is parking on the driveway for two cars.

Trearddur Bay is a brilliant base for a happy family holiday, whether it’s spring, summer, autumn or winter! If you love being active, there are watersport opportunities galore. The Anglesey Coastal Path is a must if you like walking and there are sandy beaches to explore if you’re looking for a more traditional pastime. Rhoscolyn Beach makes for a lovely stroll taking in lovely vistas along the way. This is a great holiday cottage by the beach in North Wales!

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Had a problem with heating one evening, owner could not have been more helpful we had a great stay .

Super nice it is dog friendly and clearly only let to responsible pet owners. I actually left an item of clothing behind (on the back of a door) and head house keeper Mel, very kindly posted back to me within a couple of days. Our family all agreed we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

There was nothing we didn’t have to hand, and everything we needed for our family Christmas was available. The house is in an excellent location with views to all sides and from every room, the property felt cared for and loved! We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend.
