Guests say

Milk Wood Cottage in Laugharne is highly praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and cosy wood burner. The enclosed garden is a hit with dog owners, and the property's proximity to local attractions and eateries is a plus. While parking can be challenging, the cottage's charm and amenities make for a delightful stay.

Guests consistently mention the cottage being spotless and very clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One mention of a slight smell upon arrival and mould on a window suggests a minor issue, but overall, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive in this category.

The location is frequently described as ideal, with easy access to local attractions, pubs, and restaurants. The proximity to walking paths and beaches is also appreciated. The only drawback mentioned is the potential difficulty with parking during busy seasons.

The cottage is repeatedly referred to as cosy and comfortable, with a spacious sitting room and comfortable bedrooms. A few guests noted issues with seating arrangements and a desire for handrails on garden steps, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and efficient wood burner. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues such as bedside lamps needing new fuses and a toilet seat needing adjustment. The lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal is noted, but not by all guests.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches like welcome chocolates and essentials provided upon arrival, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

Great walks around the castle, estuary and of course the Dylan Thomas Boathouse. Easy access to Pendine Sands, Carmarthen, National Botanic Garden of Wales and local National Trust properties. The Three Mariners Inn and Ty Glo restaurant did lovely food. Parking wasn't an issue as there was plenty of space along the road next to the park. Our only small criticism was the garden steps were quite steep so a hand rail would be helpful.

) Generally clean, a little smelly when we arrived. Mould on window fixing and some ceilings. Main bedroom comfortable with nice view, nice to have choice of a shower or a bath, toilet seat needs some attention as not fixed in a central position. Well stocked kitchen and nice size living area. Good local walks and nice beaches. I would visit Milkwood cottage again, but not book through Sykes.
