Tegfan is a fabulous, old blacksmith’s cottage located next to the village pub, perfect for those looking for a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle or for those looking to explore this fabulous area with their four-legged friends. Just 2 miles from the pretty harbour town of Aberaeron, which is becoming something of a foodie pleasure. Stroll around the harbour along Quay Parade and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the award-winning restaurants. The independent shops and craft centres are also a big hit amongst guests. The town is right on the Wales Coast Path and The Coastal Way. Ceredigion’s coast is also well-known for wildlife including the famous Cardigan Bay bottlenose dolphin pods. There are boat trips to explore the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast, and the town features a Seafood Festival in July. Aberystwyth and New Quay are a short drive and offer traditional Welsh pubs, stylish restaurants and sandy beaches, where dolphins and porpoises are often spotted on a clear day.
To the north are the famous slopes of Snowdon, offering breath-taking views with an abundance of walks amidst the tumbling waterfalls and shimmering lakes, with buzzards and peregrine falcons soaring high. The area is a natural playground for ramblers, mountain bikers and climbers alike.
Tegfan is decorated to a high standard with lots of quirky features and consists of an open-plan living room with Smart TV, Wi-Fi, kitchen area and a double bed. To the rear of the property there is an enclosed, small but long courtyard with garden furniture. There is a private parking space to the front of the property, and a supermarket is just a 5-minute stroll away.

Pros: Great location. Lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of lovely touches such as walking guides, binoculars, board games, books. Plenty of heating sources although not needed because of time of year. Very quirky as a cottage. Parking outside.Cons: The bed was difficult to navigate with little space to manoeuvre. Any older folk would struggle to get out in the middle of the night if they wanted to use the bathroom. The back yard looked tired and uncared for. Not a place to sit out in but fine for the dog.TV FREEVIEW was sometimes difficult to access. Need a bigger settee in the lounge - a three seater would have been better. Not much room to stretch out and relax.The woodwork in the bathroom under the sink needs repairing.

Great little cottage for two. Ideally located to enjoy the harbour town of Aberaeron. Only 15 minute drive to Newquay where we enjoyed some Dolphin spotting.We enjoyed a lovely short break here and would recommend.

Had an amazing stay!! Was so close to everything we wanted to do and was a perfect little house for the week!! Having the kitchen was so useful as we didn’t want to eat out every night and enjoyed the cozy nights in. We did have a slight issue with the Netflix being logged off but that was no trouble!! As well as we found the bed didn’t feel very sturdy during the night. But overall had a great stay and would definitely recommend and stay again.
