The positive - everyone agreed that the beds were clean and very comfortable. In addition, the showers had good pressure and hot water, although the downstairs sink was very small. The kitchen was very well stocked (arguably too well stocked, there seemed to be about 50 plates and cups!) with dishes, pans, cutlery, pretty much everything you might need. The negative - Wifi was absolutely terrible. Mobile data is also very poor in this area, so my son and I would often have to sit on top of the stairs to get anything working. It wasn't ALWAYS that bad, sometimes we would get it working elsewhere in the house, but it was very unreliable and very slow. If a good connection is important to you then I do not recommend. The mixed - I do not want to include this under negative as I would like to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. However, when we arrived we were unhappy with the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area. I did complain and she was very apologetic and told me her usual cleaner was away. The replacement cleaner came back on the second day after our complaint and did fix the issue. I do hope this was a one-off issue, but I'm noting it here so if other reviewers have cleanliness issues, the trend will be observed. Also, even without the specific cleanliness issues we had, the kitchen cupboards all had a musty, damp smell that made us feel like we needed to wash everything before use. Probably we were just overreacting to the other cleanliness issues. Other observations - this is a very basic accommodation in terms of comfort and modernity. As noted, the beds ARE comfortable, but we were a bit disappointed in the living areas just looking a bit worn and not very inviting. They were fine, but I preferred spending time in the bedroom than the living area, which is a shame given that it is accommodation for a large group. Also, outdoors there was no picnic table as pictured so there was nowhere to hang out outside despite the large grassy area. The house just didn't seem loved and was missing those little touches that one might appreciate (like an explanation of how the microwave works).

We had an amazing family holiday in Hafod Fach. The house was cosy and comfortable with plenty of room in the garden for the children to play. It was a real bonus that the location is quite close to the sea. The owner was very accommodating, sharing with us ideas for a good day out. We really enjoyed ourselves! Thank you!
