Dating back to the 1600s, this delightful Grade II lsited chocolate box cottage was once the stables for the mansion house. This traditional cottage is bursting with charm and character with original wooden beams, exposed Welsh slate walls, stable doors, vaulted ceilings and wooden floor. As you enter through the stable doors you will immerse yourself in the delights of this fantastic property, the large open plan kitchen and living area is a great social space and finished to a high standard throughout. The spacious hand crafted wooden kitchen is well-equipped and the cosy living room has been lovingly furnished with focal wood burner, perfect to enjoy a good movie with a glass of wine. Each bedroom has been elegantly finished to a very high standard with a good night’s sleep in mind. The enclosed garden includes a large built in barbecue, perfect for those balmy summer days, and with plenty of seating for all your family to enjoy.
Set near the small hamlet of Ponthirwaun and close to the historic market town of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn, where you can find a plethora of restaurants, shops and a theatre. A visit to Cenarth Falls really is not to be missed and around a 5-minute drive, if timed well, you can see the salmon leaping up the falls which really is a fantastic sight. Nearby is the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran, which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, made famous for coracle fishing.
Locally there is a host of beaches to discover with Aberporth, Poppit Sands and Mwnt beach all within a 30-minute drive and perfect for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Take a walk along some of the 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath, just waiting to be enjoyed, and runs from Cardigan through to Amroth in the south. Try your hand at coasteering, surfing or paddle boarding, or take a boat trip to observe the dolphins and other wildlife. There are quaint towns to explore, history to uncover, and lots of beauty spots to be impressed by. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The property was even better than the photos and we were lucky enough to have Christmas decorations up. Location is very peaceful but only 10mins from Cardigan. Wonderful neighbour (and dog) made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Extra plus for the great communication from the owners.

A beautiful cottage, that was a home from home. Very spacious, clean, lots of living space. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could posibly need. Nothing mising in the kitchen. Bedrooms were a really good size with comfy beds. We all slept really well. Beautiful location, even the rain didn't stop us. Definitely recommend with friendly neighbours.
