Guests consistently praise Bryn yr Haf for its peacefulness, beautiful gardens, and secure space for dogs. The cottage's homely atmosphere and welcoming hosts contribute to a relaxing stay. Its proximity to walking trails and Lampeter, along with the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings, are frequently mentioned. The rural charm and wildlife add to the property's appeal.
Reviews frequently mention the property being clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One isolated comment about needing to wash some cutlery and saucepans suggests a minor oversight rather than a common issue.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to walking trails, and accessibility to Lampeter. The peaceful and rural setting with wildlife and scenic views contributes to the high score, although the mention of a bumpy track slightly affects the perfect score.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy. The presence of a fire and a conservatory adds to the overall comfort. A single mention of dated furniture slightly impacts the score.
The cottage is well-equipped, with a secure garden and a kitchen that meets guests' needs. However, comments about the lack of a dishwasher and suggestions for improvements like a grab rail in the shower indicate room for enhancement in facilities and maintenance.
While guests mention a warm welcome and the provision of items such as milk and Welsh cakes, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches like gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A great place to get away from it all but also within 30 minutes of the coast. We also travelled an hour to the stunning Botanic gardens. In fact we found great places to visit every day of our week there. We were even lucky enough to capture the Northern Lights with our camera one evening. Helen the owner was very friendly but gave us our privacy. All in all a really enjoyable holiday.

Everything we needed was there, the beds comfy - we both slept really well - and the location fabulous. The peace and quiet was just what we need after a challenging 6 months, and we came home feeling fresh and restored. It's a perfect base to explore from, great fishing nearby which pleased my husband! And walks everywhere - whether you choose to drive or not. Lampeter is close by, and has everything you need. And the garden is beautiful! Wonderful dark skies - it was the full Hunters moon whilst we were there (also the largest supermoon of the year) and I spent quite some time out in the garden just marvelling at it and the beautiful light it cast! The coast is also an hours drive away, and there are woodland walks everywhere - my favourite place to be, especially with the beautiful autumn colours. Helen was friendly and welcoming, but also respected our privacy. Thank you for a lovely break!

The sheep and Helen's three horses were always pleased to see us. A full sized fridge/freezer was very useful to keep the week's food and plenty of cupboard space. A home away from home without the usual noise from traffic and trampolines.
