The property is described as clean, tidy, and cosy, offering a suntrap patio and adequate home entertainment. While some guests noted a musty smell and dampness, others praised the cleanliness and comfort, indicating a generally positive experience.

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage spotless and hygienic, while others reported a musty smell and dampness. The positive comments suggest good overall cleanliness, but the issues raised by some guests slightly lower the score.

The location is highly praised for being close to the coast, a pub, and dining options. The convenience of the location and the natural beauty of the surrounding area contribute to a high score.

Comfort receives a moderate score as guests found the beds cosy and the cottage generally comfortable. However, concerns about heating and dampness affected the comfort level for some.

Facilities are deemed adequate with a well-equipped kitchen, entertainment options, and beach facilities. However, some guests felt the kitchen and shower need updating, and there were comments about personal clutter. Maintenance issues like heating control also impact this score.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Dol Llan is a delightful cottage, nestled along a babbling brook and only a short walk (downhill mind you) to the little village of Llangorran. Easy access to the cottage with parking for your vehicle. Pretty much everything you need inside, including a very efficient woodburner and a decently equipped kitchen. Only one double bed so not ideal for a mutli-couple break. Christmas tree all set up if you are there then. Honestly the cottage will be great whatever the weather - really comfy if you need to stay in, and nice walks to the headland from your doorstep. If you have little ones or a pet you will need to keep a close eye on them due to the brook that runs alongside. The village has a shop (though we never saw it open over the holiday week), a lovely coffee/pizza place, a cracking pub, and a nice little beach (mostly sandy). Highly recommend a go in the sauna that was set up in the car park if it is still there - 15 minutes, then dash into the sea, repeat.Supermarkets at Cardigan, so not too far (apparently the Tesco will deliver to the cottage if you can book a slot). Farm shop, microbrewery, and craft distillery within 10 minutes.

I was very disappointed by this cottage, it is not up to the usual standards that i have come to expect from UK stays. From the minute you enter you can smell a musty damp smell which lingered all week. I'm afraid no amount of reed diffusers would combat the problem. Certain bits of furniture also felt damp and the rug definitely was. There was also a lot of unnecessary clutter and no storage space in the kitchen. Not having a thermostat is also a negative - the heating definitely does not come on at 4pm as previously stated, okay you can override it but it is no good coming into a cold damp house at the end of the day. Having said that the cottage is in a superb location not far from the coast, a pub and a few places to eat. Its definitely got potential.

Lovely cottage. We really enjoyed our stay .Timer for the central heating could be adjusted to come on earlier in the evening .We definetly would stay there again.
