The presence of animals and opportunities for children to engage with them are recurrent highlights, contributing to a memorable and peaceful holiday experience.

The location is highly praised for being central and within easy reach of beaches, towns, and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring West Wales.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a particularly comfy main bed, though one review suggests the addition of blackout blinds for better sleep quality for children.
The Stables is well-equipped for a relaxing stay, with an electric car charging point and provisions for pets. However, a suggestion for blackout blinds indicates a minor area for improvement.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Stables. Mark and Philippa were the perfect hosts. They regularly included our girls (10 and 5) in tending to their many animals; something our girls were more than happy to do! The cottage itself was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We roasted marshmallows on the fire every night while playing board games by the fire :) Location-wise, the cottage was well-appointed. We easily went into Aberporth for fish and chips, Newquay for a day at the beach and a dolphin spotting boat ride, Cenarth Falls, Abererion for lunch, Tresaith for dinner, the Moody Cow for soft play and the National Wool Museum (recommend). We all agree that we'd love to visit The Stables again 🙂

We stayed for 6 nights week just gone. This place is highly recommended. It's literally 20 minutes from anything you want. Stunning beaches, walks, coffee shops, ice cream, towns and supermarkets. The hosts Philipa and Mark were lovely and spent time with our daughter (8) showing her the animals and letting her get involved to the level she felt comfy. The area is safe to just let her explore and really quiet at night. The stables was well supplied and presented. The main bed was very comfy, only downside I have is the velux could do with some blackout blinds on them especially in the twin room along with some thicker curtains to help keep it darker for the kids who go to bed before sunset but that would definitely not stop me booking again. We look forward to visiting again soon and exploring more of the stunning west Wales coastline.
