Belmont offers eight guests a homely characterful base, complete with a large kitchen diner, separate lounge, games room, boot-room/laundry with bike storage, flexible sleeping arrangements and a private courtyard. Benefit from off-road parking for one car, along with additional roadside parking, before heading indoors to reach the open-plan living space, complete with a handy breakfast bar, a lofty dining table, a plush seating area, and a fully-equipped kitchen, offering everything you'll need for a fulfilling self-catered stay.

On the ground floor you'll also locate a handy utility with a washing machine, an additional fridge, plenty of space for wet weather gear and secure storage for six bikes. For some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle, ascend the stairs to the first-floor sitting room with fabulous sea views, or climb up to the second floor for an evening of pool or a film night in the games room. Catch some rest in one of four bedrooms, dotted across the property, including two king-size (zip/link), a ground-floor double, and a bunk room. All bedrooms are serviced by a bathroom with an indulgent free-standing bath, a ground-floor shower room, and a second-floor shower room.

Awaken to a morning coffee in the rear courtyard, before exploring the nearby quaint harbour town of Aberaeron (5 miles away) with its colourful houses, great shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants. Right on the Wales Coastal Path it has a bus stop outside the house, two pubs, a restaurant, chip shop, coffee shop and village store just along the street. Take the kids crabbing off the harbour wall or relax on one of the two beaches that Aberaeron has to offer. For the more adventurous you can walk the coastal path to Aberaeron straight from Belmont or catch a bus from outside the house.

With so much on your doorstep you won't be short of things to do such as exploring the medieval village of Llanon, including Llanrhystud beach, the pretty grounds of Bwlch y Geuffordd Gardens, and Pen Dinas Hill Fort, followed by a tour of Aberystwyth. Within the town you'll locate the magnificent Aberystwyth Castle Grounds, Aberystwyth Beach, ideal for warmer days, Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum for those with interests in history, and Aberystwyth Cliff Railway for a tour of the area. Complete your break at one of the many RSPB and nature reserves in the area, take a marine adventure spotting Dolphins off New Quay or head further to Cei Bach Beach, before hiking across Snowdonia National Park and its sweeping countryside.

Experience all of this at Belmont.

A town with a rich Welsh mythology, Llanon is reputedly the birthplace of Non, the mother of St. David, the national saint of Wales. This mediaeval community is located on the main A487 that connects Aberystwyth, a well-known university town, and Aberaeron, a charming Regency town with lovely, candy-coloured buildings lining the harbour. The Wales Coast Path runs along both sides of Cardigan Bay, and the village, which has a local store and a fish and chip shop, is centred on the main road and slowly descends down to the beach, which is mostly made up of pebbles, and the stunning arc of Cardigan Bay.
