All on one level, the accommodation is well laid out with two bedrooms (a double and a twin) and an open plan, yet cosy, L-shaped living space and bathroom. The living space is just right to enjoy time together, be it cooking or relaxing, you’ll feel at home here.
There is a garden overlooking the countryside to the rear of the property, and plenty of walks from your doorstep – so bring the dog along too!
The village of Gowerton is within walking distance of Meadow Cottage and has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing Welsh break. There are shops, a post-office, local pubs and restaurants, cafés, butchers, and a bakery. With Gowerton being referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Gower’ you’ll find some of Wales’ most beautiful beaches, coastline, and seaside towns not too far away – in around 20 minutes by car you could be at Three Cliffs Bay beach, Burry Port Town, or in Llanelli to stroll the Millennium Coastal Path. The Gower Peninsula, with all it has to offer, is a perfect destination for your next break. If you can’t find enough to keep you entertained here, Gowerton is conveniently located just 20 mins from the M4 and has a mainline train station. So why not explore more of South Wales, West Wales or even into England!

Lovely location, peaceful and quiet.The cottage was well equipped, spacious and comfortable, with a good, powerful shower, I'm 6ft 5 inches and didn't have any issues using it, and plenty of hot water. There is also a lovely garden area to sit out and enjoy.There are some great local walks right from the cottage, including a path into Gowerton and the railway station. The cottage is also within easy reach of the motorway and main roads, making it a convenient base for exploring much of South Wales. Gower itself has some beautiful walks and stunning bays, all within easy and relatively quick access of the cottage.There are several supermarkets fairly nearby, including an M&S Foodhall, Tesco Extra and Asda. We also ate at The Welsh House, which is less than 10 minutes away. It is dog-friendly, serves good food, and has lovely, friendly staff.Access to the cottage is via a single-track driveway with some fairly bad potholes. Take it slowly, stay in first gear and keep an eye out, and you should be fine, although this could be an issue for some vehicles.Mobile phone coverage was also almost non-existent for us. We are with Vodafone and Tesco Mobile, and neither had much signal. The Wi-Fi was very poor too, with a weak signal that kept dropping out. However, if you can manage without being connected for a few days, it really isn't an issue — and in many ways, it adds to the peace and quiet of the location.Overall, a lovely, peaceful place to stay and a great base for exploring the Gower and South Wales.

We liked the cottage, it was nicely fitted out, good beds, uncomfortable settee. The thing that has mainly reduced our rating is the unmade road that is quite long and extremely bad with not just broken and uneven surface it had severe pot holes and although mentioned in the write up that did not reflect how bad it was. We have a normal car, not a 4x4 and we dreaded the thought of going to and from the cottage every time as we were worried about damaging our car even at very low speed. In addition the advertised WiFi was unusable all the time we were there.

Beautiful, quiet location with local walks on the Gower Way and a short drive from castles, beaches and Swansea.Meadow cottage was nicely furnished. We had some issues connecting to the WiFi which our host quickly reset. We has a lovely time.
