Middleton Hall in Swansea offers a warm, comfortable stay with spacious rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Its location is ideal for coastal walks and exploring nearby bays and beaches. Guests appreciate the property's original features, enclosed garden, and kitchen facilities. While some areas require attention, the welcoming touches like homemade treats add to the charm of this holiday cottage.
The main areas of the cottage are generally clean, but several reviews mention the need for a deeper clean in certain spots. Cobwebs, dirt under furniture, and some unclean sanitary ware were noted, slightly affecting the overall experience.
The cottage boasts an excellent location, perfect for coastal and inland walks. It is near beautiful bays, beaches, and Rhossili Bay Beach, making it a prime spot for guests looking to explore the Gower peninsula.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the home warm and welcoming. However, some reviews mention that certain beds were squeaky and the main bathroom's shower needs updating, which suggests room for improvement in comfort.
The property is well-equipped with good kitchen facilities and a wood-burning stove. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as an Aga not working, sticking doors, and a leak in the kitchen ceiling, indicating that some facilities require attention.
Guests have mentioned the thoughtful touch of being welcomed with homemade treats like Welsh cakes and jam. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

We had a fantastic holiday cottage was warm and cosy, spacious good shower comfortable beds.We all enjoyed the space and being together with family was great.Worms head we walked to from the front door, no need to take the car.We didn’t have a dog with us this time but I would have been a bit concerned about the local walks to the beach as very steep to get down to.That said would definitely recommend to anyone .Thank you for your hospitality and the Welsh cakes.
